Truly get away from it all in this fabulous cottage set in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The property retains a lot of the original character, with exposed beams and traditional stone white-washed walls, and is furnished in light, bright colours that reflect its seaside setting.
The vaulted, open-plan living space offers a light, cool retreat from the heat on hot, summer days, and features central heating and a wonderful wood burning stove for cosying up on chillier evenings.
The south-facing front courtyard and parking area is a perfect sun-trap, and an ideal spot to enjoy an alfresco meal. The dark skies mean that stargazing at night can be truly impressive, and the portable barbecue means that you can cook and eat outdoors on the courtyard, or on the nearby beach.
The fully equipped kitchen should provide everything you need for family meals around the rustic kitchen table. The bedrooms are simple, light, warm and comfortable. The bathroom offers an electric shower over a full length bath, with unlimited hot water and a heated towel rail.
There is a private roadway leading to the property. The cottage sits alongside a handful of other cottages at the end of the track, which winds through a working dairy farm and a horse-racing yard.
The cottage is 150 yards from the beach, via a grassy track or by following the stream-side path through the forest. The bay, which can only be approached by the general public along the coastal path, or by boat, is almost private; with launching facilities by prior arrangement. The cottage does not look directly onto the beach which means that the wonderful south-facing patio is sheltered from the sea breeze.

This is what you can expect should you choose to stay in our lovely cottage
Sleeps: 6
Ground Floor King size: 5ft bed. This room is small but cosy and welcoming, and has a view to the patio at the front of the cottage.
First Mezzanine Twin: Two single beds. This is a galleried room, with a view down over the living space, and a curtain for privacy. There is a garden view from the window, and a further Velux window with a black-out blind. Please be aware that there is limited headroom, and that the staircase is steep and open at the top. Please contact us for more information if you are concerned.
Second Mezzanine Twin: This twin room also has two single beds and is above the kitchen. It is screened from the main living area by a panelled wooden partition. There is a velux window with a black-out blind. It is accessed via a steep staircase that is open at the top. If you have young children, please be aware of the steep open stairs and contact us for more information if you are concerned.
Bathroom: Bath, overhead electric shower, sink, toilet and heated towel rail.
Heating: Oil fired central heating and log burner. Central heating, hot water and electricity are included in the price. A starter pack of logs and kindling wood are provided for the log burner. More can be easily purchased from the local village shop.
Mod Cons: There is a Smart TV, audio system and wifi. There is a washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and microwave.
Patio: Open paved area at the front of the cottage with picnic bench and some chairs. A portable barbecue is supplied.
Mobile Phones: There is no mobile phone signal in Aberfforest, but mobile phones can be connected to the wifi to work.
Internet: There is wifi
Cot: A travel cot is provided.
Highchair: A high chair is provided.
Dogs: Well behaved dogs are welcome. We ask that they remain in the hard-floored areas of the cottage, and are not allowed into the furniture. Thank you.
BBQ: A portable charcoal barbecue is available.
Parking: Private parking for two cars in front of the cottage.
Boats: Boat launching available subject to pre-arrangement and a fee.
